Institute of International Affairs is dedicated to providing full support for domestic and
international students at Ulsan College to grow into global professionals equipped with the
ideals of sincerity, creativity, and service, fostering qualities of democratic citizenship, and
adapting to the development of national industries and future societal changes.
Key Responsibilities of Institute of International Affairs
The primary mission of Institute of International Affairs is to establish the 'global standard of higher vocational education'. It operates as follows
- Implementing Global LTE Programs to enhance the foreign language proficiency and global vocational skills of domestic and international students.
- Offering programs such as Global Foreign Language Education, Global Field Training, and Global Employment to enhance students' global vocational competence.
- Maintaining certification and pursuing new certifications for global vocational education (institutions) considering the themes, characteristics, and conditions of the Advanced Vocational Education Centers.
- Providing education programs based on the certification of global vocational education (institutions) to domestic and international students and the local community.
- Attracting, educating, supporting, and assisting foreign students (degree programs, double degree programs, exchange students, Korean language learners) in their education, daily life, and employment.
- Operating a website and SNS for global care of domestic and international students and producing foreign language promotional materials.
- Promoting overseas campuses, global Korean language education centers, and vocational training centers.
- Establishing exchanges with sister universities abroad and building a global industry-academia cooperation network.
- Collaborating with the local community in foreign language education projects and Korean language teacher training programs, etc.

Based on Ulsan college’s internationalization policy, the Institute of International Affairs operates various customized language education programs by introducing international standard language education courses and incorporating the concept of FUN.
Especially, the popularity of English Plaza, a facility equipped with English village-level facilities and offering English programs for local residents, and global English camps is increasing.
Moreover, there is a growing number of students taking Korean language teacher training courses with the aim of obtaining Korean language teaching qualifications upon approval as a Korean language teacher training institution. There is also remarkable enthusiasm from participants aiming to become Korean language instructors abroad or engaging in volunteer activities for Korean language education targeting foreign residents and multicultural families residing in Korea.
Additionally, we run Korean language and culture experience programs for foreigners and international students, so you can experience participation programs with foreigners anytime you visit our Institute of International Affairs English Village.
